We work with you to build your strength, agility, flexibility, and skills from whatever your level of fitness and experience. Courses include traditional Southern Shaolin White Dragon Kung Fu for all ages (Pai Lum and Hungar) as well as practical Krav Maga Self Defense training.
Sifu Kimberly Bowen is the head of Macabee Martial Arts Seattle. She is a 3rd degree black sash instructor who has trained with Grand Master Jacob Lunon in Shaolin White Dragon kung fu for ten years. Sifu Kim is a certified second level Commando Krav Maga Instructor, certified American Women’s Self Defense Association Instructor, and certified Group Fitness Instructor through the American Council on Exercise. She also \teaches meditation courses. She is the proud mother of a black belt and a purple belt, both students at The Evergreen State College.
Sifu Oliver Klesse is a third degree black sash instructor who has trained in Shaolin White Dragon kung for more than nine years and is certified in first level Commando Krav Maga. Precision performance of advanced forms are his specialty. He is the proud father of two young Macabee warriors.
Sifu Tabitha Werblud is a 1st degree black belt kung fu instructor at Macabee Martial Arts Seattle. Sifu Tabitha has trained with Grand Master Jacob Lunon in Shaolin White Dragon Kung Fu for more than eight years. She is a naturopathic physician, a certified yoga instructor, a dancer, and is the proud mother of three. Sifu Tabitha is proficient in the instruction of the Yoga of Da Mo and Self Defense for Women.
Shihan Rod Murray is a 5th degree black belt in Judo and 2nd degree black belt in Aikido with more than 40 years martial arts experience. Shihan Murray, at age 46, won first place with his team in full-contact Koshiki Team Kumite in Japan in 1992, the first time a non-Japanese team won in this international tournament. Sensei Murray studies Qi Qong and Ba Gua Chu’uan Fa to build internal energy into his karate training and participates in the Seattle Kollel Spiritual Journey program. He holds a Masters of Science degree in Criminal Justice from California State University, Sacramento.
